The surface temp. is 65 degrees. Cooler weather has slowed the fishing some but bream anglers still report catching a few fish around 1/4 to 1/3 lb. in 8-12 ft. of water using redworms and crickets near fishing piers and lily pads. Bass anglers report catching a few fish from 1-2 lbs. in 5-10 ft. near lily pads and near drop offs using soft plastics Texas-rigged fished slow. Some bass are being caught using swim baits fished weightless and slow around the edges of grass and pads.
Note: new bass length limit regulations are in place at Lake Bill Waller - the bag limit is still 15 bass/day the slot limit is 18"-22" (none can be in possession) with one fish allowed over 22".
