Pelahatchie Bay - 11/19/2009
Fair crappie reports this week from the few boats we've checked at the ramps. Best catch was a limit of mixed crappie (some slabs, mostly 3/4- to 1-pound fish). They were caught on the edge of the creek channel in open water and some came from deep cover in the narrow creek channel close to the Trading Post. Bass reports have been very tough to find, but we did find some fishermen working the riprap along the causeway, which is a typical fall pattern. Bass stack along those rocks to feed.
