Kemper County Lake - 11/9/2009
Larger BASS are showing up. Be sure and harvest your daily limit of bass under 15 inches every time you go!
BREAM are scattered. Nice sized fish but not large numbers.
CRAPPIE are beginning to bite good. Activity has started with these cooler temperatures. Low numbers right now, but fish in the 2-3 pound range can be caught on jigs and minnows.
CATFISH are biting really good. Some large cats caught in the upper end of the lake in creek channels on dead minnows and worms. Most catfish are coming off the piers near office which were left over from the fishing rodeo.
Camping is available for overnight stays. No reservations needed.
There are 10 open water fish attractors, and each is marked with a buoy. Approximately 350 Christmas trees added to the sites in January 2007. They will provide great habitat for all species of fish.
