Lake Mike Conner - 11/18/2009
water temp. 62
water clarity 36in+
Treetops were placed in the lake for fish structures(15) on Feb 23.
Bass fishing has slowed up a little on the back side of the cold front. The fish will get acclimated and start to bite soon. Fishermen are reporting catching small bass(10-14in) out of boats all over the lake around the brushtops. Try soft plastics(black worm) run very slowly around the tops. Keep your limit of bass! The lake is overcrowded with small bass.
Bream fishing is slow right now. Worms have been the best bait for shellcrackers, but crickets are never bad. Try fishing around 8ft of water.
Crappie fishing is good. Only one report lately, but they caught 17 avg. 3/4lbs a piece around the dam valve. Try minnows at 15ft out of a boat.
Catfish are slow. Try tightlining nightcrawlers in deeper water.
