LAKE LAMAR BRUCE:
Surface temps are running around 60 degrees. Most anglers this past week are targeting crappie. The bite is fair, with most crappie coming off the main lake and holding just off of the creek channel in sunken brush. Both minnows and jigs are catching fish. The bass bite is fair. The bass are shallow and are holding on flats and points in 5-7 ft of water. Best baits have been rattletraps, with a few good bass coming on topwater baits or buzzbaits. The bream reports are fair. The bream are coming out of 4 to 6 feet of water, with deeper water nearby. The old swimming area continues to be a popular area. Mealworms are the hot bait this time of year.
