Tippah County Lake - 11/16/2009
TIPPAH COUNTY LAKE:
Crappie anglers are trolling the main lake creek channel and also hitting the shoreline brushtops with fair success. The lake has some quality-size crappie in it and can be found in the deeper water. The smaller, keeper size crappie are coming off the shoreline brush and grass. Minnows have been working better than jigs. The bream bite has been slow but some are still being caught around brushtops in 8 to 10 feet of water. Tight-lining wigglers has been the best technique. Several other reports are coming from the creek channel in the upper end of the lake around the same type of structure. The bass reports are still fair, with the shallow vegetation still holding the most fish. T-rigged plastic worms and spinnerbaits have been best baits.
