LAKE MONROE:
The crappie and bass reports have been fair. Crappie are being caught by trolling and vertical jigging. Try the deeper channels with sunken brushtops and off mainlake points. Both jigs and minnows are catching fish. Bass are being caught off of shoreline brushtops in 5-8 feet with the best baits being texas-rigged plastics and shallow crankbaits. The bream reports are fair. Most anglers were fishing from the bank and reported some success tight-lining wigglers and crickets off and around the piers.
