Fishing Report as of 8/31/2010

Water temperature is 87 degrees with water visibility around 24 inches.
Numerous 1/2 to 1 pound BASS along lake margin on various plastics and small topwater baits. Pressure has slowed with hot weather.

BREAM are hot! They are biting good from boat in 5 feet of water. Redworms on bottom is working the best. Some anglers are reporting 30 to 40 large fish per trip.

No report on CRAPPIE this week. Jigs around 10 feet have produced slabs earlier in the spring (most fish caught are over 1.5 pounds).

CATFISH have slowed due to hot weather...try the creek channel in the nook to the right of the boat ramp with livers (tightline on bottom).

Camping is available for overnight stays. No reservations needed.

A depth/bottom map is available showing locations of fish attractors and other lake features. The link to our lake map page is:

Several fish attractors have been established in the lake to create fish habitat and a hot spot for anglers. Approximately 150 Christmas trees were sunk in January 2007 around marked fish attractor bouys. They provide great habitat for all species of fish. These attractors have been marked with buoys for anglers to easily find and are loaded down with Christmas trees.

GPS coordinates for the fish attractors are:

N 31 49.746 W 89 35.246

N 31 49.668 W 89 35.517
