* Youth eligible to participate in this special hunt are those 15 years of age and younger. When hunting on Wildlife Management Areas, each youth hunter must be in the presence and under the direct supervision of an adult 21 years of age or older that holds a hunting license valid for the species being hunted (unless exempt from purchasing a hunting license). On private lands, anyone 12 years of age and under 16 years of age must have a certificate of satisfactory completion of a hunter education course approved by the MDWFP before hunting alone. A child at least 12 years of age and under 16 years of age may hunt without having the certificate of hunter education if the child is in the presence and under the direct supervision of an adult 21 years of age or older that holds a hunting license valid for the species being hunted (unless exempt from purchasing a hunting license).
